Main Purpose of Role
To support the partnerships team by providing the knowledge and guidance to businesses on their sustainability journey.
To provide deal flow into the business from the Carbon Mentor calls to drive the sales pipeline.
Lead Generation – to actively seek and spot opportunities for new commercial opportunities across our 6 Technology & Delivery Hubs (e.g. Renewables, Demand Reduction, EV, Water Reductions, Online/Procurement, and Consultancy).
Account Management - Working with partnership clients to make any partnership a success through events, webinars, training courses etc as well as tracking key KPIs.
This is a key role – the job holder will be the primary point of contact for the client and often will be the face of SaveMoneyCutCarbon. Therefore, it is critical that the job holder has a clear understanding of how SaveMoneyCutCarbon is structured and how all the different products and service provisions dovetail.
What this role entails:
- To be the face of SaveMoneyCutCarbon and the client’s point of overall contact providing advice and support throughout the engagement
- Conducting high quality Carbon Mentor calls, which gather key data about the client, represent our service offering and are able to answer clients’ questions positioning SaveMoneyCutCarbon as valuable source of advice & guidance
- Recommend next steps to client – this could be audit/baseline report or specific tech projects and then to pass the client on to the appropriate colleague who can develop proposals for services/technology
- Consistent, high-quality and timely follow up following Carbon Mentor calls
- To check in with all clients proceeding through the funnel on a regular basis
- To adhere to the different processes & SLAs in place for the different partnership groups
- Outbound calls to prospective customers to follow up on new opportunities.
- To spot opportunities for future partnerships and pass these to the Head of Partnerships to progress
- To work with the client to ensure partnerships are a success through events, webinars, training courses etc
Who we are looking for:
- Good knowledge of energy and water reduction opportunities for businesses and understanding of the sustainability market e.g. carbon benchmarks, carbon roadmaps, ESG requirements
- At least an Associate of IEMA (Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment) or equivalent, or willing to take the course.
- Proficient with Hubspot is preferred, but not required as training will be provided
- Strong relationship building skills
- Comfortable with video calls with clients
- Comfortable with meeting new people
