As an Energy Engineer at SaveMoneyCutCarbon, you'll play a pivotal role in analysing and managing energy usage across education, commercial, and industrial buildings. You'll leverage your expertise in engineering principles, energy efficiency, and renewable energy systems to drive sustainable energy practices and cost savings.
The Energy Engineer will identify opportunities to reduce energy and water consumption and suggest and implement energy efficiency solutions for our clients. You will have a technical understanding of energy systems and energy-saving technologies. You will have the ability to assess the financial and environmental benefits of energy efficiency projects and monitor the performance of energy saving systems.
You will be required to perform energy audits and assess the performance of existing systems. You should be able to identify opportunities, analyse consumption data and create recommendation reports. The Energy Engineer will liaise with stakeholders, such as suppliers and contractors, to ensure the energy efficiency goals are met. You will also provide advice and guidance on energy efficiency both internally (sales functions) and externally.
Ideal Candidate:
You will be a qualified to degree level in an engineering related field and should have experience in energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy management. You should also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Have the ability to design, develop and implement energy conservation measures and systems in the built environment. This includes researching, analysing, and evaluating energy sources, developing energy strategies, and ensuring that energy systems are used safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. In addition, you should also have knowledge or experience in:
- Monitoring energy performance, identifying energy savings opportunities.
- Carrying out energy audits.
- Energy engineering principles, energy management systems, and regulatory requirements.
- Responsible for assessing, designing, and implementing energy conservation measures and technologies in order to reduce consumption and costs.
- Ability to analysing energy usage and find meaningful insight.
- Designing energy efficient systems,
- Overseeing the engineering, procurement, and implementation of renewable energy technologies
- Providing advice and recommendations on energy efficiency.
- Prepare reports & present to clients.
- Conduct research and development activities to improve energy efficiency and reduce energy costs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
